The Faculty of Construction concentrates primarily on the following research areas: Stability of Space Structure Unit, Analysis Methods and Design of Engineering Structure, Application of Compound Material to Civil Engineering, the Application of Finite Characteristic Ratio theory in Soil Mechanics and Application of Local Deformation and Stress Path to Poor Foundation Improvement, The Reliability Analysis and Health Monitoring of Long-span Bridge, and PIRO controlled Rock Blasting.

建设学院在一些技术领域形成了自己的特色和优势，主要研究方向为(1)空间钢结构体系的稳定理论与应用；（2）工程结构的计算分析与设计方法；（3）复合材料在土木工程中应用；（4）橡胶复合材料的力学性能与轮胎结构力学；（5）钢筋混凝土结构现场检测技术；（6）岩土有限性特殊比理论及应用、变形局部化、应力路径问题和软地基处理的理论及应用；（7）大跨度桥梁运行可靠性分析及健康检查。

The high stable colorless rosin esters were prepared from rosin and polyhydric alcohol.

针对现有松香酯化产品颜色较深和稳定性较差的缺点，本文首次对催化剂、抗氧剂和光稳定剂等各种化学助剂在松香酯中的应用进行了系统地研究。

By using the sodium silicate and waste hydrochloric acid as raw materials, polysilicic acid is prepared. The study shows that, under the conditions of the concentration of sodium silicic acid being 4%-8%, the pH, and the reaction time being about 5 hour, the stable polysilicic acid is made.

以水玻璃、废盐酸为原料，制备聚硅酸，研究表明：在硅酸钠浓度为4%~8%，pH小于4的条件下，室温熟化5h左右，可制得稳定的聚硅酸。

The best catalytic activity and selectivity could be found in the prepared catalyst system with the optimum combination of the ionic liquid, nano-Pd, and support. The stabilizer is also used to prevent the aggregation of nano-Pd particles. One of the advantages of this approach is that the prereduction of catalyst is not required.

其中离子液体、奈米钯金属及担体皆有其功能，三者之组合才能达到良好之效果，同时，在合成奈米钯过程中，必须使用稳定剂以避免奈米钯金属之聚集此触媒系统之另一优点为不需先加氢还原处理，耐水性强且可重覆使用，是一种颇具潜力之选择性氢化触媒。

There are two well-known shortcomings within K-Means algorithm prevailingly used in data clustering and other center-based clustering algorithms-the number of clusters must be known beforehand and the dependence of the algorithm performance on the initialization of the initial centers.

Previous study showed that over-expression of PICK1 in human leukemia REH cells rendered a higher resistance to etoposide-induced apoptosis through a recruitment of PKC alpha which resulted in maintenance of mitochondrial membrane potential, an enhanced phosphorylation of the anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein at Ser70, and inhibition of Bax dimerization.

在本实验室先前的研究，於人类血癌REH细胞中过度表现PICK1蛋白质，PICK1能够藉由招揽蛋白激酶C alpha至粒线体上，引起Bcl-2磷酸化程度提高，抑制Bax蛋白二聚体的形成，进而稳定粒线体的膜电位，以至於细胞对於化疗药物etoposide引起的程式凋亡具有抗药性。

It was found that even in strong oxidizing atmosphere,the reoxidation of reduced iron can be avoided or decreased obviously by a covering coal layer with only 10-15 mm in thickness,so that the metallization of DRI may exceed 95%in a wide range of operation parameters.
