A historical cohort of 53 patients who had undergone lung transplantation at the hospital between March 2004 and September 2005 served as a control group. In estrogen replacement therapy group, diethylstilbestrol was injected into abdomen of ovariectomized rats (0.2 mg/kg/3 d).
