Adakites in this area have five rock types, quartz diorite, quartz monzodiorite, quartz monzonite, monzogrannite and hornblende granite. These rocks commonly contain hornblende, belonging to I-type granites.

提要：祁连西段野马南山一带发育大量的加里东期花岗岩，其中大部分花岗岩具有与adakite岩相似的地球化学特征，SiO2≥56%， Al2O3≥15.0％，低MgO（平均2.04％），高Sr(257～889μg/g，平均值546.42μg/g)，低Y（7.1～25.3μg/g，平均16.67μg/g），Sr/Y平均为35.89μg/g，Eu无明显负异常，Sr正异常，Adakite岩石类型有石英闪长岩、石英二长闪长岩、石英二长岩、角闪花岗岩、二长花岗岩，岩石中普遍含有角闪石，属I型花岗岩，地球化学图解反映该花岗岩形成环境为板块碰撞前的岛弧型，锆石U-Pb同位素年龄为444+38/-33 Ma，处在祁连造山带板块俯冲收缩阶段，因此可以推断野马南山埃达克质Adakite花岗岩是俯冲板片部分融熔和壳幔岩浆混合形成的。

结果 香山群的时代划归为中晚寒武世较合适；香山群主体是一套由板岩、细、粉砂岩和砂岩组成的浊积岩系，其砂岩类型主要是长石石英砂岩、细粒石英砂岩和粉砂质石英砂岩，前寒武纪变沉积岩和花岗片麻岩为主要碎屑来源和物源区组成；砂岩的岩石地球化学特征指示香山群属发育在被动大陆边缘斜坡环境中的沉积物，火山岩岩石地球化学特征反映其应属大洋扩张构造环境下的大洋拉斑玄武岩系列。

Several conclusions are drawn from the study. The ore deposit mainly occurs in the lower Cambrian Shuigoukou Formation, which is situated at the limbs of Qingshixia-Yujiatai overturned multiple syncline. The ore-hosted rocks are silicalite and mudstone. The content of SiO2 is high in the rocks of V ore deposit. Silicalites are mainly aphanitic quartz and chalcedony and the barite is sedimentogenic. The correlation between V and Cr, U, Ba is good. The rare earth element distribution patterns show Ce-negative or positive anomaly, obviously Eu positive anomaly and the right dip graphics.

研究结果表明，该区钒矿主要产出于青石峡－余家台倒转复式向斜两翼下寒武统水沟口组下岩段硅质岩夹泥岩的泥岩中，矿体产状与地层产状基本一致；钒矿床中所有岩石都含有较高的SiO2，硅质岩以隐晶质石英和玉髓为主，有沉积成因重晶石；V与Cr、U、Ba相关性好；稀土元素球粒陨石标准化模式具有或正或负的Ce异常和明显的Eu正异常、向右倾的图形。

According to petrographic facies test, gravel sample mainly consists of quartz, albite, dolomite, and minor biotite; and sand sample is mainly made up of quartz and albite. As an important ASR active mineral, chalcedonite exists in fractures of dolomite and in matrix of cherty limestone. In rapid mortar bar test, expansion of sand, small gravel and middle gravel at 14 day are less than 0.1%, but keep increasing in long term.
