The antifungal activities of these materials were investigated and build foundation to develop low poison plant antifungal products. In experiment, polyphenols were extracted by reflux ectraction method which applyed petroleum ether to degrease and methyl alcohol solvent. Phenolic hydroxyl were examined and inspected by colour-developing reaction and the content of total polyphenols was determined by UV-spectrophotometry. Screening test were performed to the antifungal activities of polyphenol extraction by the tube dilution method to the selected ten pathogenic fungus such as Dothiorella gregaria, Rhizoctonia solani, Phyllosticta pirina, and the minimal inhibitory concentration were measured. The column chromatography and thin layer chromatography were applyed to separate and analyse cortex extracts of Dracaena cochinchinensi Lour.

The antimicrobial tests showed, the inhibition rate of alt the twenty strains were considerably and ten of them reached 80% when the fermentation broths was diluted by 10 times. It showed strongest inhibition effect against Erwinia carotorora (17.75 mm). Organize method tests showed that inhibition rate of fermentation broths of the strain HJ1-2 to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Botrytis cinerea was 100% and 71.39%, respectively.

Result3 strains of endophytic fungi had growth peak when the pH value was 6.5-7.5,and could grow within pH of 4.0-8.5. Their acid-alkali adaptability was strong,in which the P-3 adaptability was the strongest. P-1and P-2 had the stronger inhibition to the Bacillus subtilis,Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus,and P-3 only had the little inhibition to Escherichia coli. The 3 endophytic fungi all had inhibitory effect on Podosphaera leucotrlcha,Alternaria mali,and Gymnosporangium yamadae Miyabe,in which,P-1 had the better inhibitory ability.
