Methods The Fas, FasL and DR4, DR5, TRAIL were assessed in 45 normal cervices, 52 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia gradeⅢ and 51 cervical cancers by immunohistochemical method. The number of apoptotic cells was determined by morphological criteria and the number of proliferating cells by counting Ki-67-positive cells. Results Proliferation and apoptosis percentage was markedly increased with increasing severity of neoplasia.
