A new method of improving shift quality of AMT with the fuel stop valve was indicated, the efforts to the shift quality at different input shaft and output shaft of clutch were analyzed, the control strategy was established, and the test on one kind of AMT heavy truck was conducted. The test result showed that it could decrease the rotational speed between the drive part and the driven part when clutch was locked, and improve the shift quality of AMT with control of the fuel stop valve.
