The jewellery comes in various forms: single or double stringed bracelets or "bangari", earrings or "eleni" which are usually in the form of bunched beads, four or five stringed finger rings, anklets or "shanga ya miguu", necklaces that are single-stringed or stiff and layered and almost a foot in width, elaborate headbands, waistbands and belts.
