Lévi-Strauss distinguishes the activity of the bricoleur from those of the modern scientist, the engineer, and the artist; however, it is this description of an improvisatory activity performed by a kind of intellectual jack-of-all-trades with whatever happens to be available that has caught the imagination of many contemporary theorists, who view the practice of theory as itself a form of bricolage performed with concepts and ideas retrieved from the grand theories of the past.

This is a study on the "verb + noun" combinations for the purpose of Chinese information processing. Under the guidance of the Theory of Intensional Logic and Principle of Compositionality, we investigate the internal patterns and rules of various "verb + noun" combinations for formalization of Chinese semantic analysis and interpretation.
