玉叶金花属

My thesis is to examine the correlation between the formations of petaloid sepals in Mussaenda and the petal identity genes, i.e. ABE class genes.

本论文即以玉叶金花属植物为材料，观察此一类花瓣构造的形成是否与花瓣决定同源基因的异位表现相关，进而探讨其背后的遗传控制机制。

The enlarged showy calyx-lobes in Mussaenda are good examples. The calyx-lobes, so called calycophylls, are mostly leaf-shaped, but have bright color, papillate epidermis, and loose mesophylls, features generally only found in petals. In higher eudicots, floral organs are typically arranged in four different whorls, namely sepals, petals, stamens and carpels.
