In this study enamine was used as the reactive intermediate for alkylation of cyclohexanone alkylate,to provide a new route to synthesize the perfume-α-tert-butylcyclohexanone after overcoming many disadvantages of the traditional technical route,such as the complicated of reaction steps,the expensive reagents adopted,the high demand for the equipment used,and the low yield of product.

THE FIRST TOTAL SYNTHESIS OF TAXAMAIRIN B Taxamairin B, representive of rare naturally-occuring rearrang-ed 9(10→20)-abeo-8, 11, 13-triene diterpenoids, has been firstsynthesized by a eleven-step route in an overall yield of 8.19%,starting from commercially available catechol and 1,3-cyclohexan-dione. The improved Friedel-Crafts annulation, thermodynamicallycontrolled-geminal pairing methylation, the selective oxidation ofallyl group and the selective reduction of the less-hindrancecarbon-carbon double bond are the key steps.

To attaining longlived charge separated states, the new compounds 7 and 8 of C60-S-2-thioxo-1, 3-dithioles derivatives were synthesized by Diels-Alder cycloaddition reaction.
