In chapter three, the activating agents of ytterbium have been examined. Barbier-type reaction promoted by ytterbium metal was examined. The experimental results shown that the yield of Barbier reaction of imines with allylic bromide promoted by ytterbium is higher than that of aldehydes and ketones with allylic bromide under the same reaction conditions. In this chapter, the reductive cleavage of Se-Se and S-S bond induced by ytterbium metal was also studied.

首先研究了金属镱的活化剂以及活化方法，接着考察了金属镱促进的Barbier反应及其在合成高烯丙基胺和高烯丙基醇中的应用，以及影响该反应的主要因素；究了金属镱促进的二硫醚和二硒醚的S—S键和Se—Se键的还原断裂，继而与氯代烃，胺基甲酰氯反应生成相应的硫醚，硒醚，胺基甲酸硫代酯和硒代酯。

Compareing with essential oil of the steam distillation method and the bensine solvent extraction method through GC-MS analysis .The result showed that:the essential oil principal constituent extracted by benzine is camphene,a-pinene,bornyl acetate, limonene, 1-methyl-4-(1-methylethyl)-1,4-cyclohexadiene, myrcene, caryophyllene, borneol.

The catalyst, palladium supported with chitosan condensated with salicylaldehyde, was studied in hydrogenation ofα-octene, nitrobenzene, 4-nitrophenol and m-dinitrobenzene, it was active and good selectivity forα-octene and nitrobenzene, when the activation time is 90 min, the catalyst showed the best hydrogenation active.

Other methyl nucleophiles includingMeMgBr, MeCeCl2, MeTiCl3, Me3Al, Me3ZnMgCl, MeMnClwere tried, but in all these cases no detectable amount of exo-C8-methylated product was obtained. Although protecting C3-carbonyl as 1,3-dioxolanes could be achieved, the serious enolization of C8-carbonyl was still problematic. Converting C9-furan ring to α,β-butenolide did depress the enolization, but desired C8-methylation was completely replaced by migration of the double bond of the butenolide.

In searching for novel and high active fungicides with pyridyl moiety, with Dimethomorph as a model compound and isonicotinic acid as the main starting material, twenty-seven title compounds were designed and synthesized through chlorination, Friedel-Crafts acylation, Wittig-Horner reaction and other steps. All the target structures were confirmed via 1H NMR and elementary analysis.
