The increase extent of chemically combined water of pastes with NaOH is higher than that of without activator, and the paste with Ca2 is the same. The XRD peak of Ca2 of paste without activator is high at early age, and the peak of mullite and quartz has less change along with age. When NaOH is added, the peak of quartz of fly ash has clear drop. The surfaces of fly ash activated has eroded trace at 7 d.
