In the 2002-2003 Li Jian will be conductor in the Japanese production of the opera "Hansel and Gretel" by Humperdinck, he will tour Taiwan as soloist with the Taiwan Chinese Orchestra, and tour China as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, including a live televised performance at the People's Congress Hall in Beijing - as part of the Beijing New Year's Eve Festival; to which he is the Artistic Director.

2002-2003年，李坚在日本指挥洪佩尔丁克的歌剧《汉泽尔与格蕾太尔》，在台湾与台北的乐团合作演出，他还作为独奏家与皇家爱乐乐团在中国巡演，其中包括在人民大会堂现场电视直播的北京新年音乐会演出。
