对灯光围网调查船2002~2005年的渔业生产调查资料、舟山市渔业统计资料和浙江省海洋水产研究所历年来的上层鱼监测资料进行了研究和分析，结果表明：2002~2005年，浙江省群众灯光围网渔业的作业渔场主要集中在28°~32°N、122°~125°E之间的海域，渔期一般为每年的7~9月；鲐鲹鱼占总渔获的年均比例为98.97%；根据历史资料粗略推算，调查海域鲐鲹鱼等中上层鱼类的资源量约为12×10^4t，最大持续产量为5.8~6.7t，最佳捕捞船数315组左右。
