Community Action Team in Tamsui (abbreviated in CATT in the following) is a non-profit organization dedicated to community architecture.

简介 淡水社区工作室是一个投身於社区建筑的公益组织。

CATT is being as a lab of architecture education, as well as one of the motivation intervening social transformation."Community Participation" and "Urban Design" promoted in 1993 seems to become a shared sense of value.

淡水社区工作室」兼具有建筑教学的实验室与介入社会转变的动力之一，1993年所参与提倡的「社区参与」与「都市设计」似乎已经成为台湾建筑专业所共享的价值观。

Based on accumulation of long-term experiences, CATT brought up "Regional Conservation Plan of Historic Area in Tamsui" as follow-up proposition for historic preservation and urban design mechanism.

基於长期的经验累积，於2007年提出「淡水历史风貌区域保存计画--保育型的都市设计计画」，作为后续有关於古迹保存与都市设计机制的建议。

Situated In urban fragmentation, CATT brought up a guideline of actions--"constructing Tamsui cultural map as regional renovation strategy".

在断简残篇的都市处境中，提出「淡水文化地图建构作为地域活化策略」作为行动纲领。

In the past few years, CATT, which played as a role of professional intervening living space in the region, constantly connected with the local organizations, and endeavored to rescue historical and natural resources together, including "old street","historical building","wild sream", and "terraced field", as well as striving for "destructive development", and other social and spatial issues.

这几年常常与淡水在地关怀社团连结以关於历史与自然生态资源的抢救，包括「老街」、「历史建筑」、「野溪」、「梯田」等等；以及针对「破坏性建设」所进行的抗争活动，扮演专业者的角色介入於地域生活空间的种种议题。

CATT was initiated by three teachers, Zhi-wu Chen, Hsu-xu Zheng, and Jui-mao Huang from Department of Architecture, Tamkang University in 1993, In the face of the rapid decline of living environment due to exaggerative investment of real estate in Tamsui, the local professionals devoted themselves to create better opportunities in the transformation of city space.

淡水社区工作室在1993年由淡江大学建筑系中的陈志梧、曾旭正、黄瑞茂三位老师及一群学生所共同组成。
