经此案例可知，菊池－藤本氏病可以单一、快速增大，发生在中年男性且以疑似腮腺肿瘤为表徵，实际上是邻近腮腺的组织发生了组织球性坏死性淋巴结炎，故临床上耳下附近的疑似腮腺肿瘤病灶，应将本病列入鉴别诊断。
