In this research, the cooling plate was applied to fabricate the high chromium cast iron samples with semi-solid microstructure and the slurry temperature was measured by computer controlled thermometric system. The effects of technological parameters on slurry temperature were studied.

In the related researches of highway service level and travel time estimation, which have been mainly focused on how to spread out the Vehicle Detectors in order to detect the velocity of the vehicles. Spreading the Vehicle Detectors, which is difficult to execute, consists of the following procedures : road digging, VDs spreading, and road reconstruction. Moreover, the as mentioned procedures could damage the backtops. To apply the procedures in downtown area is even more laborious, due to the limited resource and controls from local authorities. As a consequence, the unsufficient density and numbers of VDs could not well serve the information collecting standards.

In order to locate mined-out areas in gold mines and place a curb on its hidden hazard, through laying out two high precision gravity survey sections of the 1∶100 scale in the research area, with Canadian Scintrex Corporation′s CG-5AutoGrav gravimeter, the gravity anomaly data are measured by the high precision gravity survey method for the first time, and the inversion is made by the Euler deconvolution method to determine the collapse of the mined-out region and the stable sector.
