Its secondary oil-producing formation is Yaoyi part of Putaohua oil layer. Its reservoir is delta front sediment. Main sandstone is subaquatic distributary channel sandstone, and microelectrode curve is box distribution function.

榆树林油田处于松辽盆地北部中央坳陷区三肇凹陷东部斜坡，主要产油层系是中生界白垩系泉三、四段的扶余、杨大城子油层，储层为河流相沉积，主要砂体为有底钙存在的正旋回河道砂体，微电极曲线形态为箱型；其次为姚一段的葡萄花油层，储层为三角洲内前缘沉积，主要砂体为水下分流河道砂体，微电极曲线形态为箱型。
