The preparation of ammonium uranyl gadolinium carbonate using (NH4)2CO3 solution from the mixed solution of UO2(NO3)2 and Gd(NO3)3 by means of co-precipitation was investigated.

The study shows that the Lithium can be concentrated to about 0.8%, the ratio of Mg/Li can be lowed to 10; In the process of precipitating, in order to separate the left Magnesium and Lithium, a lot of experiments were carried out with the Sodium carbonate or Calcium hydroxide and Sodium Sulfate anhydrate as precipitator of Magnesium, where the separation results were compared, and an optimal separation idea was proposed.
