The main achievements of the project are as follows: 1 the hypothesis that a decrease in seed mass causes an increase in mean dispersal distance has been tested based on the experiments of weed dispersal by wind. The experimental results partly support the hypothesis. The results will help farmers to make an optimal strategy of weed control; 2 a statistic method for inferring probabilistic distribution function of a random variable has been developed, by which probabilistic distribution functions of weed species dispersal have been determined; 3 the reproduction structure of Bromus sterilis has been studied; 4 a more complex CA model with 25 neighborhood cells were built, which can simulate spread of a weed population. This work promotes developments in both theory and application of CA models; 5 the "mean law" in weed control has been proposed. Accordingly, the algorism of patch spring may be calibrated; 6 the "patch" and "true patch" have been mathematically defined so that herbicide can be efficiently applied; 7 simulation validates that initial configurations of weed will affect dispersal of its population and strategies of controlling it, or its distribution patterns affect its dispersal progresses.

主要完成的工作和取得的成果有：1）用实验证实了重量较轻的杂草种子并不一定飞得比较重的远，其结果有助于农民制订杂草的优化控制策略；2）发展了一种推断随机变量分布函数的统计方法并用它来获得了几个杂草种的扩散分布函数；3）对杂草Bromus sterilis的繁殖结构进行了研究；4）建立了一个具有25邻的较复杂的能模拟杂草扩散的CA模型，并在理论和应用方面促进了CA模型的发展；5）在杂草控制方面提出了&平均法则&，据此可对按块施药方法进行校正；6）精确地定义了&块&和&真块&以便在杂草控制中能更有效地使用除草剂；7）模拟证实杂草种群的初始配置影响其扩散和控制策略，或者格局影响过程。

Hystrix canopy declined slightly at the midday, suggesting the occurrence of reversible photoinhibition. Owing to the lower maximum net photosynthetic rate in sun leaves and the ability to effectively and consistently utilize the scattered light and/or transmitted light, C. hystrix saplings could survive low light intensity, grow well at the edge of the forest and in the understorey, and eventually become one of the dominant species in upper layer of the community.

The comparative study on vegetation background survey of the stationsand the comparison on level of phytocoenology on zonal habitats indicates thatthe diminishment of the numbers of families,genus and species,compositionof life types,diversity of communities and habitats,;and the increscence in theproportion of photosynthesis functional groups of C3/C4 plant,richness ofspecies,density of tussock and tiller,diversity of species,evenness,leaf areaindex,leaf area duration,dry matter production of communities alongside thelatitude increasing and the temperature decreasing;and the dynamic curve ofthe community productivity also tend to steadily increase along with thetemperature going up and the heat accumulation gradually in moderate-temperate steppe station from violent fluctuation along with seasonal badly-distribution of precipitation in warm-temperature steppe station;manifestingthat transformable tendency of productivity pattern of the community from morevigorous net assimilation,sparser and higher crops stricture of tussock and tiller,and possession on more resources by less species inclined to thicker in densityof crops,superior effectiveness of multi-leaves and pattern of multi-speciesresource sharing,reflecting that bigger disparity of the vegetationcharacteristics and the style of the community growth in the two differentthermal-type steppe stations owing to background of natural-historicenvironment and combination of water and heat.

内蒙古草原区两个不同热量型研究站点植被本底调查和显域地境群落学水平的比较研究表明：随纬度增加和气温降低，植物科、属、种的数目，生活型组成，群落类型和生境类型的多样性均趋于减少，而C3/C4光合功能群比值和群落的物种丰富度，株丛密度，物种多样性，群落均匀度，叶面积指数，叶面积持续时间和群落干物质生产能力均趋于增加，群落生产力动态曲线从随天然降水的季节分布不均而剧烈波动趋向于随气温逐渐升高和热量逐步积累而稳定增长，显示出两站点植物群落从较为旺盛的群体净同化作用、较为稀疏高大的群体结构和少数物种占有较多群落资源的生产力格局向较高的群体密度、优良的多叶性能和多物种资源共享的群落生产力格局转变，反映出在内蒙古草原区不同的自然历史环境背景和不同的温度条件及其水热组合状况影响下，两个不同热量型草原站点植被性质的分异特征和显域地境群落生长模式的较大差别。

In this experimental system, the main feature is that user can do some basal operation expediently using graphical interfaces, namely loading the existent data sets or creating new data sets, and choosing different kernel function to train the SVM classification, which can classify the given data correctly, it shows the result of classification and comparison of performance intuitionally.
