On March 7th, the Bilingual Department invited renowned Broadway producer and director Welly Yang to give a speech to students. Mr. Yang began by showing two exciting excerpts from his musical, Making Tracks, earning thunderous applause from the audience. Making Tracks is a story describing the hardships of Chinese immigrants workers who helped build railroads in American during the 19th century.

Based on a true story, a present of mystery, dedicated by a mother to her attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder child, the "Snow Angel and Pea Wee" is a musical play about children that need special care, and the complexity of a single parent family in dealing with child education issues.
