All in all, we had made good progress for day 2 -- 25 of 34 pitches, with only 9 to go for day 3. Nonetheless, day 2 was the hardest. We flailed on the traverse. We waited a lot for parties ahead of us. And we had the embarrassment of asking for a rope to be thrown down to us on the 25th pitch. We were really looking forward to topping out the next day.
