Based on minimum resolvable temperature difference channel width of thermal imaging systems and modulating transfer function channel width of photoelectronic imaging systems, a comparative research between the evaluation methods for the general performance of thermal imaging systems is studied through simulation and experiments for an actual thermal imaging system. Good agreement was drawn between the two methods for the general performance valuation of thermal imaging systems.

在最小可分率温差信道宽度的热成像和调制传递函数信道宽度的光电成像系统性能评价方法的基础上，通过实际热成像系统性能的理论模拟和实际观测试验，对比分析了两种方法对于评价热成像系统综合性能的一致性及系统主要参数变化对匹配效率的影响。

Prof. Ouyang, a cosmochemist and geochemist, was born in Jiangxi in 1935. He graduated from Beijing College of Geology and the Institute of Geology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1956 and 1960 respectively. Prof. Ouyang has held a number of prominent positions in academic organizations.
