由实验可知，模型组在实验第30d时，已经有81.25%的眼晶体是Ⅲ期白内障，玉米黄色素各组在实验第30d时没有眼晶体发生Ⅲ期白内障，而发生Ⅱ期白内障的眼晶体仅为31.25%和43.75%，结果表明，玉米黄色素能有效地延缓受试大鼠白内障进展，降低眼晶体混浊度。
