Inflorescence spikelike, cylindrical, composed of spiny or bristly deciduous burrs arranged along an angular, often sinuous rachis; burrs sessile or with an obconical basal stipe, each composed of 1 or more sessile spikelets surrounded by an involucre of spines and bristles; bristles flexuous or more often spinous,± flattened, grooved on the outer face, united below, the degree of union varying from a small basal disk to a deep cupule, inner spines or bristles often ciliate around spikelets. Spikelets lanceolate, acute; glumes unequal, shorter than spikelet, lower sometimes suppressed; lower floret membranous, staminate or neuter; upper floret firmer, protogynous.

Methods Male Sprague Dawley rats were induced by ligating the anterior descending coronary artery and were divided into the 2nd, 4th, 8th, 12th and 21st week groups. Elastic fibers were evaluated in the infarct region using Masson trichrome staining, Uana orcein staining and image analysis. 本实验主要通过对头针快速提插捻转法与普通头针法治疗脑梗死上肢功能障碍疗效的对比研究，揭示头针快速提插捻转法在头体针综合疗法治疗脑梗死上肢功能障碍中的作用，并进一步探讨该针法临床疗效的作用机制。

After setting up a contrasted group of conventional head acupuncture, we can make a contrast study on CSS, Fugl-Meyer motor assessment scale, the estimate of the therapeutic effect of cerebral infarction and patients' blood index of rheology, we an get the following results:(1) The therapeutic effect of head acupuncture with quick twirling, lifting and thrusting as the main cure, is fairly good to treat the upper limbs paralyses caused by cerebral infarction and it obviously improve the motor function of upper limbs.

The cyclic variation of integrated backscatter and echo intensity of three different myocardial regions perfused by left anterior descending coronary artery, left circumflex coronary artery and right coronary artery (on the frozen frame of parasternal short-axis image,those position were approximately at the 12, 4 and 8 o'clock direction to the center of the left ventricle, respectively) were measured with HP-5500 ultrasonic system and DFY ultrasonographic quantitative analysis system.
