Seven major bacterial isolates were obtained and purified. Their 16S rRNA genes were amplified by PCR for sequencing and their identities were determined with homology comparisons. Five of the seven isolates belong to Actinomycetales including Kocuria KD139, Rhodococcus KD140, Rhodococcus KD142, Arthrobacter KD230, and Arthrobacter KD232; one is classified as Bacillus d KD178; and another one as Stenotrophomonas KD237. The phylogenetic tree was also constructed based on the analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences.

Methods Two arrays of isolates were used to evaluate the reliability of ChromID ESBL. One array contained 285 clinical isolates in which the ESBLs-producing feature was screened by confirmatory tests recommended by Clinical and laboratory Standards Institute. The other array contained 28 enterobacterial isolates with their ESBLs gene and producing enzyme feature being confirmed previously.

Results The whole genome of CVB4 jlu06 strain consisted of 7 395 nucleotides encoding 2183 amino acids, which showed high homologies to other CVB4 strains, with the mutations of 10 amino acids. Phylogenetic analysis proved that CVB4 jlu06 strain showed close relationship to HumanCB4 and POLG_CXB4 strains while showed remote relationship to CXB2 strain. Unlike other non-diabetogenic strains, CVB4 jlu06 strain showed common amino acids with diabetogenic strains at 4 sites in 3A region of non-structural protein.
