Compared the sequences of rRNA genes in A. pernyi with that of other insect mtDNA, the 16SrRNA genes are longer except for B. mori and B. mandarina, and equal to A. mellifera; the 12S rRNA genes are shorter except for T. imagines, and equal to H. macropus.

柞蚕线粒体DNA编码的16SrRNA较长，比家蚕和野桑蚕的小，但仅差几个bp，与蜜蜂相近，而长于其他所比较昆虫。12SrRNA则较短，仅长于蓟马，与咬虱相近，而短于其他昆虫。

All of the 58 restriction endonucleases were used to investigate the mtDNA diversity. Four restriction endonucleases, DraⅠ、SnaBⅠ、SspⅠ and Vsp Ⅰ, were polymorphic. Based on presence or absence of the the 215〓 SspⅠ site, all of the 13 mtDNA sequences were divided into two groups.
