Growth curve assay showed that the pomegranate peel extract inhibited cytodieresis in logarithmic growth phase. After exposure to the pomegranate peel extract, bacterial protein was analyzed by SDS-PAGE. The results showed that protein synthesis was inhibited, especially for large molecular weight protein.
