Assulta and the induction of GST activity by nicotine and capsicine in H. assulta provided partial supports for the hypothesis that diet breadth was governed by detoxification abilities. The representative families are Dryopteridaceae, Athyriaceae, Polypodiaceae, Thelypteridaceae, Selaginellaceae and Aspleniaceae.
