Species of Rytidosperma lack cleistogenes, and also differ from the above description in having lemma hairs in tufts, ciliate lodicules, and a punctiform hilum.

From the tests,we have obtained some structural variant features related with salt resistance and demonstrated the successful introduction of Rhizophora apicularta DNA into tomato.This thesis contains two parts. In the first part,the morphological and anatomical structures of the leaves were investigated. As to the morphology,some difference between control and transformed tomato were found. The leaf dimensions of the transformed tomato with unextended leaves were smaller than that of control. These structure changes should help to decrease the evaporation of water effectively and release the physiological drought resulted from saline.

After having studied the characteristics, phenology and ecological habit, we have gotten the morphological figures of each species. The characteristics of the disputed species have been studied in detail and have been quantitatively analyzed though scatter-map.

查阅和借阅了2个国家11个标本馆1100余份南五味子属标本，对世界范围的南五味子属种类作了整理，描绘了每个种的性状特征、物候期、生态习性，绘出了形态线描图，讨论了与其近缘属种间的关系；对在分类学上有争议的种类进一步进行解剖和测量，详细记录枝、叶、花、果实、种子等的形状、大小、数目、颜色、毛被等数据或信息，绘制散点图，对各种性状作定量研究，进行分析、归纳与分类。

The results showed that bulb height and flower size of 'Large Copper' were least, with longest white short soft hair on stem. Obvious characteristics of 'Toronto' were nacarat and lackluster membranous bulb scales, leaves with rufous stripe and base of perianth shape and colour. Obvious characteristic of 'Pink Impression' were taller plantlet, bigger flower, taller and wider leaves and edge of leaves with short hair.

结果表明：品种Large Copper的种球高度和花径均最小，茎上白色柔毛最长；品种Toronto的显著特征是种球的膜质鳞片为桔红色，无光泽，叶片上有红褐色条纹，花被片基部为黑色舌形；品种Pink Impression植株高，花大，叶片长而宽，叶缘有短毛。
