The kinetics of nitrogen removal from liquid steel under vacuum with reaction between carbon and oxygen was studied on the multi-function induction furnace. The following conclusions were obtained by experiments: The nitrogen removal was obtained by the nitrogen transfer through the liquid steel diffusion layer at 67Pa and 110Pa pressure, and by the gas-liquid surface chemical reaction at 2000P.

The whole sintering process of SHS converter fettling materials can be divided into three steps. The first step is the decomposition reaction of carbonates and sodium nitrate, which is an endothermic reaction. The second step is the SHS reaction, i. e. thermite reaction, the metal of Al reacts with CO〓, O〓, NO〓, Fe〓O〓 to form Al〓O〓. The speed of thermite reaction is very quick, and accompanied with large amount of heat emission and temperature rise. The third step is the reaction of spinels formation. The Al〓O〓 produced by SHS reacts with MgO to form spinels.

A one-step method for the synthesis of aromatic indolizine derivatives byintramolecular 1,5-dipolar cyclization reaction of 2-(2-arylethenyl)pyridinium N-ylidesin the presence of an oxidant has been studied for the first time. In the presence ofelectron-deficient olefins, however, 2-(2-phenylethenyl)pyridinium N-ylides underwent1,3-dipolar cycloadditions and then aromatized in situ by TPCD to produce indolizinederivatives, indicating 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition proceed more readily than 1 ,5-dipolarcyclization in these conditions. Pyridinium disubstituted N-ylides, readily obtainedfrom corresponding pridinium and β-chlorovinyl ketone, underwent thermalintramolecular 1,5-dipolar cyclization to give indolizine derivatives easily.Indolizinecarbaldehyde derivatives were synthesized starting from 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde in four-steps involving 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction.

The aniline HDN was strongly stressed by the presence of quinoline and DHQ and the HDN of quinoline proceeds exclusively via a pathway which involves fully saturated intermediates on the MCM-41-supported nickel phosphides. The HDN activity of nickel phosphide catalyst was dramatically reduced by the presence of H2S and DBT, probably due to the strong adsorption of H_2S and DBT on active sites which inhibited the adsorption of quinoline.
