Shih-shuo hsin-yu mainly describes the anecdotes, demeanors and behaviour of the intellectuals and the custom in Wei-Jin dynasties; and under the background of metaphysics and of Confucianism, Buddhism and metaphysics mixing with each other, the whole text shows the transformation of age that from"ethic"to"nature", society to individual and political ethics to art aesthetics.
