Results:Berberine inhibited HUVEC adhesion for lymphocyte when pretreated HUVEC and antagonised IL-1 and TNF-induced upregulation of HUVEC adhesion for lymphocyte.Meanwhile,IL-1-stimulated lymphocyte adhesion to HUVEC was diminished in the presence of berberine.The main molecular mechanism of berberines function may be downregulating the expression of ICAM-1 on the HUVEC .

The morphology of virions seems to not be change after incubated with the paeonol by electron microscope. The regained infectivity of TMV recovered by dialysis from incubation with paeonol in vitro showed that the paeonol have not direct viricidal effect. The paeonol did not reduce infectivity when applied before TMV inoculation. The paeonol in low concentration can restrain the polymerization of TMV coat protein in vitro. The paeonol did not reduced infectivity of TMV-RNA in vitro. A novel Belousov-Zhabotinskii type oscillating reaction was observed in a closed serine-BrO^-~3-Mn^2^+- H2SO4 system(Ser-BZ system), which exhibited the followign characteristics:(1)Although Ser is unable to be brominated, the sustained oscillations could still be observed in the above system under batchreactor conditions even in the absence of either acetone or inert gas flow.(2)The present oscillations displayed extremely short induction period(0) and very few oscillation number(1).(3)Cl^-, acrylonitrile, or Br^- could effectively inhibit the oscillations.
