Going to school in temples had been a stereotype deep in people's mind. Although this symbol was similar to the way how European school buildings symbolized campanili of churches, the symbol of "colonizing" was emphasized.

There are also other customs and traditions used to celebrate Harvest Festival. For example, church bells sound on each day of the harvest, and a corn doll is made from the last sheaf of corn harvested. People also put flowers and colorful ribbons on the last cart of food harvested, and most families have a wonderful harvest meal.
