放射治疗

Radiotherapy is one of major clinical methods in treatment of most tumors.

放射治疗是肿瘤治疗主要手段之一，资料显示有70%的肿瘤患者需行放射治疗。

However, the size and number of colonies are less than which in anaerobic TYL medium. It can not grow in aerobic TYL and TYG media. Bifidobacterium longum can tolerate radiation dose as high as 80 Gy, which is the total dose in clinical radiotherapy. Therefore, Bifidobacterium longum has the potential to be the vector for cancer gene therapy combining radiotherapy. Besides, this is the first study to investigate the tolerance of X-ray radiation for Bifidobacterium longum.

此外，从本研究中得知Bifidobacterium longum可耐受高达80 Gy的辐射剂量（单次照射，存活分率为22 ％；以分次照射每次给予2 Gy来估算，存活分率为67％），此剂量为临床放射治疗一般给予的总剂量，因此证实Bifidobacterium longum有很大的潜力做为癌症基因治疗合并放射治疗的载具，本研究也是首篇调查Bifidobacterium longum对放射线耐受性的研究。

Following the surgery the patient presented with right side weakness, unsteady gait, and speech difficulty.
