In this thesis we mainly report the syntheses, crystal structures ,photoluminescence spectra and triboluminescence spectra of new triboluminescentcomplexes.

Four non-ionic europium complexes,〓-phen(11),〓·bipy(12),〓·dia(13) and 〓(14)(TTA=2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone, DBM=dibenzoylmethane, phen=phenanthroline, bipy=2,2'-bipyridine, dia=4,5- diazafluoren-9-one, dmbp=4,4'-dimethyl-2,2,-bipyridine), were synthesised and the triboluminescent phenomena of 12, 13 and 14 were firstly observed. Structure determinations of 11,12 and 14 were carried out. The triboluminescence maxima of 12 and 13 are similar to those of their photoluminescence. X-Ray structure analyses show that Eu atoms all exhibit eight-coordinate tetragonal antiprismatic geometries and complexes 11, 12 and 14 are all centrosymmetric.

The characteration of 15 will may provide a new pathfor searching new triboluminescent complexes. The triboluminescence maximum of 15is similar to that of its photoluminescence. The disorder of the thienyl rings and 〓groups in 15 may be responsible for its triboluminescent activity.

Eu的距离为4.2137(9)〓。两个桥联O原子与两个Eu构成一平面四边形，∠Eu(1)-O(7)-Eu(1A)和∠O(7)-Eu(1)-O(7A)分别为117.84(14)°和62.18(14)°。15的摩擦发光光谱与其光致发光光谱很类似，表明它们有相同的激发态。15的摩擦发光活性可能与其结构中噻吩环及〓的无序有关。

The coordination geometry of the Eu atom is best described as a strongly distorted square-antipyrism.. The two Eu atoms are bridged by two N-oxide oxygen atoms forming a dimeric unit with crystallographic inversions centre. The Eu……Eu distance is 4.2137(9)〓. The two europium atoms and two bridging oxygen atoms is coplanar. The angles of Eu(1)-O(7)-Eu(1A) and O(7)-Eu(1)-O(7A) are 117.82(14)° and 62.18(14)°, respectively. 15 is the first dinuclear triboluminescent lanthanide complex reported.
