Based on the expounding of basic characteristics of PROFIBUS and special protocol chip SPC3 provided by SIEMENS Corporation, this paper discussed the plan to develop the intellectualization of the slave station interface with SPC3 according to PROFIBUS-DP, and pointed out the hardware method of its realization.
