The Indemnitee shall not settle or compromise the indemnification claim without the prior written consent of the Indemnitor, and the Indemnitor shall not settle or compromise the indemnification claim in any manner which would have an adverse effect on the Indemnitee's interests including without limitation any rights under this agreement or the scope, validity of enforceability of Party B's rights in and to the proprietary technologies, without the prior written consent of the Indemnitee, which consent, in each case, shall not be unreasonably withheld or delayed.

Curran and a team of American and Canadian researchers, in conjunction with the Philadelphia-based Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, a federally-supported clinical trials organization, found that among 289 patients with either anaplastic oligodendroglioma or anaplastic oligoastrocytoma receiving either a combination of three chemotherapy drugs with radiation or radiation alone, those whose tumors had deletions in chromosome locations 1p and 19q tended to live nearly two and a half times longer than those patients without the missing chromosome portions.

Thirty patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia were observed between September 1977 and October 1985. Bleeding diathesis with petechiae or ecchymosis (80%) was the most common presenting symptom. Seventeen of 24 patients with pretreated coagulation studies were diagnosed to have disseminated intravascular coagulation. Six out of 11 patients died from intracranial hemorrhage after a mean of 2.5 days of hospitalization without any treatment. DIC was responsible for death in most cases. Induction therapy with anthracycline and cytosine arabinoside combined with prophylactic heparin infusion was carried out in the remaining 19 patients. Two patients were incompletely treated. Eight out of 17 patients achieved complete remission after a mean of 63 days following chemotherapy. The remission rate was 47%.

Results:eighty-one of 129 MODS patients had gastrointestinal failure and the morbidity of gastrointestinal failure was 62.8%,in whom 54 patients received rhubarb therapy and 33 patients(61.1)were all eviated.Whereas only 7(25.9％) out of 27 patients suffered from gastrointestinal failureinnon-rhubarb treatment group were improved.There was as ignificant difference between the two groups(P.01).Furthermore,28(51.9％) out of 54 MODS patients accompanied by gastrointestinal dysfunction were survive dafter rhubarb treatment,whereas 6(22.2％) of 27 MODS patients suffered from gastrointestinal dysfunction were survived in non-rhubarb treatment group.

In an attempt to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Healon in trabeculectomy, 20 eyes with Healon and 20 eyes without Healon injection after trabeculectomy are compared. Trabeculectomy using Healon will not induce transient rise of intraocular pressure. By filling the anterior chamber with Healon, a tamponing effect results which will maintain a deep chamber and reduce complications such as flat anterior chamber, choroidal detachment and striate keratopathy in the early postoperative period. 为了评估Healen在小梁切除术中之疗效及安全性，选20位接受小梁切除术者，同时注射Healon於前房为实验对象，另20位接受传统小梁切除术为对照组，发现使用Healon并不会引起一过性眼压上升的现象，Healon注入前房，产生填塞作用，最大的好处是可以维持前房深度，减少术后合并症如前房消失，脉络膜剥离及角膜水肿等，然长期追踪，对於降眼压的幅度，不因使用Healon而可达到低眼压状态，也不会减少结合膜瘢痕化而促进房水引流，然Healon系一无毒，无炎性，无抗原性高黏稠性的物质，不因使用而发生炎性反应，同时有保护角膜内层细胞的功能。

Methods: Twenty-four rabbits were randomly divided into three groups:① the control group(group C, n=8): received sternotomy only and no ischemia;② the ischemia/reperfusion group(group I/R, n=8): the left lungs of rabbits were rendered ischemia by ligating the left pulmonary hili for 60 minutes followed by 60 minutes reperfusion;③ the edaravone group(group E, n=8): the left lungs were rendered ischemia for 60 minutes followed by 60 minutes reperfusion, and 10 mg/kg edaravone was administered intravenously 5 minutes prior to ischemia. Blood MDA and SOD were measured. Protein concentrations, WBC count, and PMN percentage in broncho-alveolar lavage fluid were determined. Samples of left lung tissue were sent for determining the left lung dry-to-wet weight ratio and evaluating the pathologic changes.
