In chapter 8, the research works of the project have been summarized, and the research and application prospects in the future are forecasted. In the Part B of this dissertation, the DSP based vibration data acquisitor system for rotating machinery has been developed.

In chapter Ⅴ, from the point of the system'view of the vibration data acquisitor for rotating machinery, the major—minor processor structure in this system is analysed, the characteristics of the major processor DSP56001, the function of the minor microcomputer PC have been explained. The Memory Spaces Configuration, Synchronous Serial Interface , Serial Communications Interface , Host— Port and Peripheral Buses of the DSP system are summarized, and its timing is explained. The DSP system interfaces with the boards have been explained further.
