In the current study, a series of cationic α-helical peptides of 20 a.a. were designed and synthesized based on four structural parameters, including charge, polar angle, hydrophobicity, and hydrophobic moment. Several methods were performed to describe the influence of these parameters on the antimicrobial and hemolytic activity, and on the permeabilizing effect on model membranes.
