Results: Proliferation of K562 cells was significantly inhibited by naringenin and the IC50 at 24, 48 and 72h were 455, 225 and 175μmol/L respectively. Cell growth inhibition and apoptosis were observed under light microscope and transmission electron microscope. Observation by flow cytometry indicated that K562 cells were blocked in G0/G1 phase of cell cycle in naringenin group, and S phase cells were remarkably decreased. PCNA expression in each treatment group was remarkably less than in control group.
