Based on projective geometry,the research works about 3D invariances extraction and application have been done in this thesis as following:(1) The basic theories and concepts in projective geometry are systematically summarized. It includes:the camera models of perspective imaging,projective collineation,cross ratio,a simple compare about invariance among some geometry transformations,fundamental matrix,epipolar and epipolar line in epipolar geometry,and so on.

The tectonic evolution history of Tianshan is an example. In the Triassic, it was once uplifted to form the mountains with thick molasse accumulation on both its sides, Junggar and Tarim Basins. Then it became a peneplain by the exposion and deplanation in the Jurassic, forming the widespread coal-bearing strata which can be correlated. From the Cretaceous to the Early Cenozoic, it was uplifted again, until the Quaternary to build huge mountains with two large sedimentary basins on both sides.

Chapter 4 of this dissertation has carried out a physical simulation study about the processes of formation and laws of evolution of the fan delta in Baimiao gas field. Based on the results of the study about the geological background in this area, this paper has discussed about the sedimentation facies marks for the fan delta in Baimiao gas field, worked out a detailed proposal about the development of physical simulation experiment about the fan delta, and described in detail the general laws and major controlling factors governing the sedimentation processes of the fan delta. A detailed measurement was made about the experimental results, and a systematic comparison was made relative to the prototypic characteristics.
