懂

This volume will serve the purpose of three kinds of readers: those who know only Chinese; others who know only English; and a third, and most likely the largest group, bilingual readers interested not only in reading the stories but also in seeing how well they have weathered the sea change from one language to the other.

一本中英对照的书可供三种不同的读者阅读：一种是只懂中文的；还有一种是只懂英文的；第三种，疑是最大的一群，就是中英文都通的读者。他们不但要读小说，而且要看看这些故事是怎样渡过两种文字播迁的风险的。

Don't be in a rush. Read slowly and reread until you understand. Don't hesitate to look up verb conjugations in your grammar guide. The same goes for the audio lessons. If you have trouble with a lesson, repeat it the next day. As the lessons get more complicated, I start doing them twice. The second time is actually more enjoyable.
