To date,it has been documented after transfusion of unirradiated blood components to at least 87 patients:in patients with severe combined immunodeficiency,thymic hypoplasia,and Wiskott Aldrich syndrome premature newborns and those with erythroblastosis fetalis; patients with hematologic malignancies including Hodgkin\'s and non-Hodgkin\'s lymphomas,acute myelocytic and lymphoblastic leukemias,chronic lymphocytic leukemia,and aplastic patients with solid tumors including neuroblastomas, glioblastoma,rhabdomyosarcoma,cervical carcinoma,small cell lung cancer,and germ cell tumor;patients after cardiac surgery and cholecystectomp-60;and in an apparently healthy 22-year-old woman.

Clinical diagnostic considerations ranged from benign entities such as rhabdomyoma, intramuscular lipoma, fibromatosis, myositis ossificans, proliferative myositis, inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, and inflammatory myopathy to malignant entities such as rhabdomyosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, liposarcoma, and lymphoma.

Results among 34 cases of orbital tumor,29 cases were with benign tumor, 5 cases of malignant tumor, 8 cases of hemangioma,5 cases of dermoid,5 cases of inflammatory pseudotumor,3 cases of liparomphalus,3 cases of haematoma,3 cases of mixed tumor of lacrimal gland,2 cases of optic nerve glioma, 2 cases of cancerometastasis,2 cases of adenocarcinoma,1 cases of malignant lymphoma.

A total of 150 mesenchymal neoplasms of the GI tract, abdominal cavity, and retroperitoneum were retrieved from consult and surgical pathology archives, including 54 GISTs (8 KIT-negative; 13 desmin-positive), 17 GI leiomyosarcomas, 11 GI mural leiomyomas, 13 leiomyomas of the muscularis mucosae, 12 gastric schwannomas, 15 inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors, 9 cases of mesenteric desmoid fibromatosis, 10 dedifferentiated liposarcomas, and 9 malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors.

Results The study population consisted of 11 schwannomas,7 neurofibromas,1 ganglioneuroma,1neurofibromatosis,4 malignant schwannomas and 2 neurofibrosarcomas.

For the 23 core biopsies suggesting phyllodes tumor, excisional biopsy confirmed the diagnosis in 19 but revealed fibroadenoma in four patients, for a positive predictive value of 83%. Final pathological analysis of the equivocal core biopsies diagnosed fibroadenoma in five patients and phyllodes tumor in four patients. Final analysis determined that none of the lesions were malignant.

Results:Of 22 cases, there were 8 benign stromal tumors, 2 malignant GISTs,3 lipomas,3 cysts,3 esophageal carcinomas,2 esophageal venous nubbles and 1 with no abnormity.

The genes who adjust neural stem cells can express in glioma stem cells, which hold out glioma stem cells from neural stem cells. There is another presume that glioma stem cells come from differentiated cells. Through the gene break of these cells, they can obtain characteristics of stem cells, then form glioma stem cells.
