恶事

Even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存邪僻的心行那些不合理的事，装满了各样不义，邪恶，贪婪，恶毒。满心是嫉妒，凶杀，争竞，诡诈，毒恨。又是谗毁的，背后说人的，怨恨神的，侮慢人的，狂傲的，自夸的，捏造恶事的，违背父母的，无知的，背约的，无亲情的，不怜悯人的。他们虽知道神判定，行这样事的人是当死的，然而他们不但自己去行，还喜欢别人去行。

Answer: The sins forbidden in the first commandment are, atheism, in denying or not having a God; idolatry, in having or worshiping more gods than one, or any with or instead of the true God; the not having and avouching him for God, and our God; the omission or neglect of anything due to him, required in this commandment; ignorance, forgetfulness, misapprehensions, false opinions, unworthy and wicked thoughts of him; bold and curious searching into his secrets; all profaneness, hatred of God; self-love, self-seeking, and all other inordinate and immoderate setting of our mind, will, or affections upon other things, and taking them off from him in whole or in part; vain credulity, unbelief, heresy, misbelief, distrust, despair, incorrigibleness, and insensibleness under judgments, hardness of heart, pride, presumption, carnal security, tempting of God; using unlawful means, and trusting in lawful means; carnal delights and joys; corrupt, blind, and indiscreet zeal; lukewarmness, and deadness in the things of God; estranging ourselves, and apostatizing from God; praying, or giving any religious worship, to saints, angels, or any other creatures; all compacts and consulting with the devil, and hearkening to his suggestions; making men the lords of our faith and conscience; slighting and despising God and his commands; resisting and grieving of his Spirit, discontent and impatience at his dispensations, charging him foolishly for the evils he inflicts on us; and ascribing the praise of any good we either are, have, or can do, to fortune, idols, ourselves, or any other creature.

以及其他所有放荡无节地把我们的心思、意志、情感置于其他事物上，全部或部分偏离祂的事情，例如轻信、不信、异端、误信、怀疑、失望、固执，面对审判仍然麻木不仁，心里刚硬，骄傲，任意妄为，自以为平安无事，试探神；运用不法手段，倚靠不法手段；爱宴乐；虽有热心，却败坏、盲目，没有分辨力；不冷不热，在神的事上是死的；疏离自我，背叛神；向圣徒、天使或其他任何受造物祷告，崇拜他们；与魔鬼结盟，交鬼求问，听其建议；使人成为我们信仰与良知的主；怠慢、藐视神及其诫命；抵挡、消灭圣灵的感动；不满、厌烦神的安排，指责祂行事愚昧，把各样恶事加诸我们身上；把我们所拥有、所得来、所能做的任何好事都归之于幸运、偶像、自己或其他任何受造之物。

And if a poet writes of the sufferings of Niobe --the subject of the tragedy in which these iambic verses occur--or of the house of Pelops , or of the Trojan war or on any similar theme, either we must not permit him to say that these are the works of God, or if they are of God, he must devise some explanation of them such as we are seeking; he must say that God did what was just and right, and they were the better for being punished; but that those who are punished are miserable, and that God is the author of their misery-- the poet is not to be permitted to say; though he may say that the wicked are miserable because they require to be punished, and are benefited by receiving punishment from God; but that God being good is the author of evil to any one is to be strenuously denied, and not to be said or sung or heard in verse or prose by any one whether old or young in any well-ordered commonwealth.

CANON VI.-If any one saith, that it is not in man's power to make his ways evil, but that the works that are evil God worketh as well as those that are good, not permissively only, but properly, and of Himself, in such wise that the treason of Judas is no less His own proper work than the vocation of Paul; let him be anathema.

典章六 谁若说，人走自己的坏路，，这不是出于人之权力，而是要使天主，把这恶事，变成善事；且天主不仅容许人做恶事，而且，祂也自己且藉自己做成恶事，竟致茹答斯之叛逆，和保禄之蒙召，同样是天主自己的工程，那么，这种人，应予以绝罚。

Happy is the man who does this, the son of man who holds to it; Who keeps the sabbath free from profanation, and his hand from any evildoing.

遵行安息日而不予以亵渎，防范自己的手而不做恶事，行这事的人，与固守此道的人子，是有福的。

"Your own wickedness will correct you, And your apostasies will reprove you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to forsake the Lord your God, And the dread of Me is not in you," declares the Lord God of hosts.

耶2：19你自己的恶、必惩治你、你背道的事、必责备你。由此可知可见你离弃耶和华你的神、不存敬畏我的心、乃为恶事、为苦事、这是主万军之耶和华说的。
