I do admit that if I am asked, or at least in the very beginning when I willingly accepted, to take charge in taking and receiving an armchairing guy for half a year or so, even I am his/her friend, even the best, even I am his/her dad, natural one, or even I am his/her lover, I will be thinking of, maybe a hint or maybe a determination, s/he's a trouble-maker, of an encumbrance, and of giving up lending my hands.
