To study the surface hydrophobicity of solid materials with the lattice Boltzmann method , the rough surface is approximately treated with simple periodic rectangular, saw-toothed and semicircular protrusions structure respectively. A two-phase lattice Boltzmann model is used to simulate the changes of surface hydrophobicity by calculating the contact angles of a droplet on rough surfaces.
