This paper starts with the basic concepts of "bionics" and "bionic design", and then researches the application of bionic form design in the field of product design. The paper explains the meaning, principle and sort of bionic form design. The paper analyzes the intensional value of bionic form design from culture, cognitive psychology and product semantics, in order to establish the design method on a basis of higher theory level.
