In addition, we are visited by representatives from Iceland – a small country with a noble culture – and newly independent Slovakia. All of these nations stand as mirrors of ourselves.

In this paper the Kelantan in Malaysia is used as the study area. On the base of the regional flood disaster theory and fuzzy synthetic evaluation method, integrating remote sensing data, ground meteorological data, rainfall data, social and economic data, using the technology of geography information system, flood disaster risk assessment models are built.

In the spring of 2003, WSCF was used in afforestation trial in wulanbuhe desert, Inner Morgolia, Qing shuihe town in Hohhot city, and kulun Qi in Tongliao.The result showed that the trial with WSCF was obviously better than without it in survival rate and growth.
