By the end of 1974, Guangzhou Municipality workers digging air-raid shelter in the Qin Dynasty were found in shipbuilding factory sites; liberation in 1983 as the Gang Hill Road site infrastructure of the Western Han Dynasty discovered in South Vietnam Wangmu, 1995 and 1997 in infrastructure projects, respectively South Vietnam during the country found a large stone structure underground water and Nanyue King Palace Gyoen, which found that the southeastern region was considered a breakthrough in archaeological discovery. 2000 children in Guangzhou City Park South Vietnam found the palace ruins.

1974年底，广州市文化局职工在挖防空洞中发现了秦代造船工场遗址；1983年在解放北路象岗山基建工地中发现了西汉南越王墓；1995年和1997年在基建工程中，分别发现了南越国时期的大型地下石构水池和南越国王宫御苑，这些发现，被认为是岭南地区考古方面的突破性发现。2000年在广州市儿童公园发现南越国宫殿遗址。
